Today I’d love to introduce you to Victoria, owner of Eternal Blooms. I had the pleasure of photographing Victoria at her home, at a nearby church and also her studio near Winchester. Victoria makes premium faux flower arrangements- I’m sure Victoria hears it all the time, but I too couldn’t stop gushing about how incredibly real they look and feel! She sells online, creates bespoke designs and hires them for weddings and events. She has also launched – just this week – her preserved roses which look stunning too! Do scroll to the end of the post for all her contact details.
Over to the lovely Victoria…
What do you love the most about your job?
I feel very lucky to enjoy my job so much! It all really started with my first garden when I took on redesigning the borders and creating new ones! This roller-coasted into helping others design their gardens. The love is still there and every house move I have made over the years, my garden is always project number one! Of course, that is when my flower arranging started. I enrolled in a floristry course as I wanted to bring the flowers I grew into the house and make them look their best.
The time I spend in my bright and airy flower studio is just so relaxing. My radio is constantly on and I ‘zone out’ when I am making my designs! The time just flies by and although I will be making something for someone else, I always feel designing is ‘me time’! Making a bespoke arrangement is the most rewarding and receiving a big smile from a customer when I present them with their arrangements is just the icing on the cake!
What other people/small business have been part of your business growth?
I hire my bouquets in vases to corporate clients and the referrals with that side of my business has been amazing. I have found the encouragement and warmth from other local businesses to be fantastic, especially the Winchesterbloggers who are great in encouraging local businesses to get together and they hold fun casual networking events.
When I decided to rebrand, and have a new website, I went to Sarah Shuttle who has been fantastic and of course she has showcased my new website both via Instagram and Facebook. All great publicity!
Why did you decide to book a brand photo shoot?
My business is extremely visual so great photography is paramount. I really wanted my website pictures to look soft and feminine and choosing a photographer who could capture that was essential. With the help of Sarah Shuttle, I had a clear vision of how I wanted everything to look. My business is ‘high-end’ because the quality of the flowers and containers I source are exquisite so it was imperative that this was conveyed by high quality images. Branding is so important if you want to stay ahead of the game and I simply wanted to use the best people to carry this out!
How did you find the shoot and the resulting pictures?
The day of my photoshoot went extremely smoothly. The on-line questionnaire and telephone call covered absolutely everything that I needed to do before the day and you made some great suggestions as well.
Being organised for the photoshoot enabled many more photographs to be taken which was an added bonus! Your manner was so relaxing and even my two pesky spaniels getting in the way all day did not faze you! We flew from the garden shoot to the church, back to the studio and then back to lifestyle seamlessly!
I was so excited to receive the finished photographs. They were even more beautiful than I could have imagined. The brand colours were totally adhered to and the whole look and feel of the photos were dreamy!
Where are you using/plan to use your photo shoot images?
I have used your photographs for my website and shall be using them on Instagram and Facebook. I have also sent them to organisers of Fairs and Popup Shops that I have exhibited at. My ‘thank you’ cards have your photos on them and also a huge 6’ banner! My flyers will have your images on them as well. I have been asked to send pictures of what I make to brides thinking about their bouquets. For my corporate side the pictures have been great to send to prospective clients. I see myself using the huge bank of images I have for the next couple of years!
